Rolling Stitch

rolling stitch

This is a great stitch to use as a mock brim on a hat or a mock cuff on a sleeve because it automatically rolls up (typical of a stockinette stitch). It uses a combination of the flat stitch and either the e-wrap stitch or the double stitch, whichever you feel is most appropriate for your project. This stitch, when used as a mock brim or mock sleeve should not be repeated but placed appropriately in the pattern.

See Reading Charts if you are not familiar with how to read a pattern.
